    no it is not down to muscle, but is a few layers of skin. He can walk but it clearly hurts. I did not mess with him that much out of fear of hurting him. But when he flaps his wings I dont see any sign of puncture or cuts. I have the plastic netting that looks like chicken wire to avoid scratching

    I came home from work and found one of my babies laying in his home injured badly! The others were crowded around nestling him. What it looks like is as if the skin has been peeled back off of both his breast. Just part of it, and there is a little blood but he isnt bleeding. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT...
