Sorry, I was out of reach. The immediate temperature under the heat lamp should be 90-95 degrees, and cooler at the edges of the brooder. Food and drink best not placed directly under the lamp.

If the brooder temperature is right, and you have chick feeders/waterer, and If...
have you tried making it a warm mash of yogurt and feed? It looks weak. i'd try and feed it that. Is the brooder warm enough? How did you lose the previous chicks?

Hi everyone, just for updating this - i have placed the Marans, Japanese bantam and RIR roosters.
I still have the lavender orpington that i would like to place.
I will keep the serama -he requires special care in cold winters, and my husband doesn't mind his crow as it's not nearly as loud!

I was worried about the chooks getting through Nemo... but everyone is fine, including my little Serama. They are outside playing in the snow right now!
we cleared a path for them, made sure water is not frozen, and doors are clear, but that's it. I am always amazed at how resilient they are...
