    Aggresive rooster

You could try separating them, I have heard of people doing that before to solve such problems. Unless he is hurting the hens I wouldn't worry to much about it. He is basically a teenage rooster right now. Mine looked to be a little aggressive when mating at first too but they all figured it out...

    Aggresive rooster

His behavior to the hens doesn't sounds unusual, but if he is being aggressive to you he needs an attitude adjustment. I have a BO rooster about the same age. He got fiesty with me a couple times. Just gotta show him who is boss.

    Show Off Your Games!

Happy 4th everyone! We got a nice surprise this morning when I went out to let the laying hens out of the coop. We found our game hen with seven baby chicks. Our games are completely free ranged. Should I let her continue to free range with the chicks or should I put her in a pen?

    What killed my chicken?

This happened during the day. Would a racoon kill during the day? I know there are racoons out here. There are some cats that run lose out here too. They aren't mine but they do cross my property.

    What killed my chicken?

This afternoon I found one of my hens dead. She appeared to be left at the site of the kill. There were feathers scatterd all around. Her head and one wing were gone, and all the feathers were gone from her neck. They were free ranging in a fenced back yard. Thanks.

    Show Off Your Games!

Wow, there sure are some beautiful birds in this thread. Thought I would share some pics of mine. These birds were given to me and I don't know much about them. I know they are games but that is about it. If anyone can tell me more about them feel free to chime in.

What breed of chickens are these? Game bantams and RIR maybe?

Thanks. I agree, they sure are some pretty roosters. Amazingly they all get along. I think the only reason they do get along is because they are free ranging. I don't think they could ever be cooped up together. I love hear them crow and watch them strut around. Once in a while the big rooster...

He has some dark spots on him. When the sun hits him good he is shiny red and the tail feathers have a green tint to them, almost grenish black. Here's another pic of the big one. Another pic. The big rooster is the one in the center.
