They really aren't that bright...
My ducks act like that towards the rest of my family.Since I'm the main caregiver and spend quality time with them,they don't run from me etc. My opinion is that they are very smart animals. Mom to two Silver Applyard drakes 18 wks old -

I have two Silver appleyards and they only bother with me when it's time to eat.Can I do anything to help them become more friendly,or is it just a "duck" thing? -
Is this normal?
I have two 7wk old Silver Applyard ducks and so far they are pretty quiet. They sorta sound like birds,instead of a quacking sound.Is this normal? Are they mocking the birds in the trees do you think? -
