I'm GUESSING pullet also. Doesn't appear to have the normal looking streamers the roos start getting early on.. now that Partridge looks very much like a roo to me though. Pretty paint either way! Good luck!
It's really hard to tell anytime, but especially before they're fully feathered. I have no guesses on one or three, but do think #2 is looking quite rooish, getting a nice little comb already :) gl
How'd you get shim to stand so still for photos :) it's hard to tell at 7 Weeks, I'm gonna go with a pullet though. Not much comb going on and no waddles to speak of either, please let us know Howe it goes! Gl
I'm now thinking they are both pullets myself, only because I think the comb on a roo would be a little more pronounced by now, but then my first silkie hen turned roo on me (and I got him around that age from someone who raised silkies, go figure)... My rule of thumb look and listen... Look for...
I LOVE me some silkies! You know, the funny thing about silkies, just when you are 100% you have a rooster, "he'll" lay an egg. As soon as you're 100% you have a hen, "she'll" crow.... To me, honestly, they all look like they have streamers and are all roosters, but then maybe that means...
Yey, so glad I came on here tonight. We got a beautiful ameracauna roo a while back, of course he immediatly took crooned over all my hens including our bantam rir, which are tiny, well one of them went broody so we let her sit on a couple eggs, I hadnt dated them, only one ended up hatching...
