What you could do is run some 2x4's along the roof bows, front to back and do as stated above and attach some steel roofing
to the 2x4's.
Would be what you see in a farm shop or similar.
Ive forgotten about my post here.
Im getting so close to being done with everything. The coop is
about 90% done. I need some screen over the window and build a ramp
to the pen when I get that figured out.
Ive got a ridge vent installed on the roof and with the window open the temp inside
feels...
I got a little bit more done on the coop tonight after work.
The roof is sheeted, the front and back have siding, trimmed the rafter ends and started the laying box.
Rain coming tomorrow so probably no working on it until the weekend......

I took my permit in Monday so Im hoping to have mine early next week.
My coop is 4x8. I wanted to try and keep it inexpensive for now. I can always add on later.

I have a friend who bought some chicks and he has offered me some of them since he has "extra".
In Omaha we need a permit to raise chickens (Im sure most know this) so I am waiting on...
