    Thanks! She's probably hiding it... I'll wait until tomorrow to check again. I hate to disturb her. This is her first sitting ...that we know of, we bought her from a woman that lost her home to the bank. She's been with us about a year. I think I'll let her and mother nature take over...

    Ok Here's the next strange thing.. I went to check on my hen this morning and there's an empty egg as though a chick has hatched but no chick. They're in a very safe environment so no other animals could get into the nest. Did she eat the chick or could she be hiding the chick in her feathers...

    We went out to the hen house this am and one chick has hatched, but the hen has left the nest. The eggs are cold and wondering if the other eggs will hatch? We don't have an incubator.
