    Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Hi everyone! Im in Seattle and would love to hatch some chicks this spring but cannot bring myself to fire up the brooder. I love hatching in my incubator, but brooding is such a pain! Does anyone have a determined broody they would like to sell/trade/lend? thanks!

    The Olive-Egger thread!

Ive seen some folks making OEs with SBELs. SBEL are ameraucaua x leghorn, so are heterozygous for the blue gene. So if you cross these with a dark brown egg layer, wouldn't only half of these offsprings lay olive eggs? Am I missing something here?

Handsome boys! Im trying to find a home for my roo also. Mine is 16 weeks but significantly less developed than yours. Before I rehome him can someone confirm this is indeed a cockerel? I parted the feathers on his back and do see some pointy shiny ones coming in so Im pretty sure but would...

I was out of town for a few weeks and one of my "pullets" turned into a cockerel! So disappointed, I thought I would be safe buying at 12 weeks but I guess crested are sneaky. Anyone want him? He is very handsome.

I crossed a cream legbar with a ----- and this is what I got

Here are some babies from this cross. All hatched out white or blue barred. Some crested (I thought all would be since mom and dad both were ??) I have 11 chicks growing out, and LOTS look to be cockerels, yikes!!!
