    I think Norcallbirds was actually referring to if you raised some then you may have better luck with the ducklings being a little less wild . Wood ducks ducklings are very delicate and can be sometimes be quite challenging to rear. I do not know of any breeders that will sell wood duck...

    We have white faced tree ducks hatching today and usually hatch ducks into mid October. Some of the tree ducks and teal lay into late fall.

    Wire size for mandarin pen?

    The smaller the wire the better. Chicken wire will keep all ducks in except the ducklings, I wouldn't recommend the regular stuff if you are in a wet humid climate, it only last 5 or 6 years here, after that starts rusting and falling apart. The PVC coated stuff cost more but last much longer...
