Do you have a rooster with the hens? If not add one if he goes to breeding them they are laying eggs or about ready to. borrow a rooster for a few days if you have a friend that has one. Often there are free rooster on CL but be sure there healthily.

yup I was wrong on the 21 days that hatch time.. then why is it a hen will have many eggs in her some not all when you butcher her? if 25 hrs is right, which the books say???

I think it takes 21 days for a chicken make a egg. Could be stress from moving. The eggs they laid were already started. Can any one back this idea up?
