I scored some free blueberries and raspberries a couple of weeks ago,made lots of jam. Also on that note I bought 2lbs bulk pectin from Amazon, very happy with the results. I just increased the recommended amount by a tablespoon because that brought it up to the weight of the boxes, no fails.

Well I am new to canning meat but I have canned raw chunks, I understand if you use ground it needs to brown first, I think. Maybe a veteran meat canner can chip in.

I am not familiar with button quail but most birds will peck at wounds, so maybe when he heals try putting them back together with supervision? Just a guess no real insight here.
