    we dodged the bullet as long as we could got 5 inches of wet heavy snow. the roads are very bad. the neighbor had us plowed out before noon. we are staying put . no place to go. i cut up a piece of smoked ham. Annie is making scalloped potatoes and ham.

    we got 5 inches of wet snow. at 11am the neighbor has us plowed out. we don't get much drifting. we have a good wind break on the west side of the property. i can take the snow over the sub zero temps. the roads are still slippery. no matter, we aren't going anywhere.
