    Update on mine it didn't work here in Minnesota. Kept freezing the water so I went and got a real heater and dish for poultry.

    already did with 1 ft up and 3 ft on the ground 19ga 2inx 2in wire. :). Haven't had problems at all but I know they have had encounters at night.

    I used a plastic dog bowl with a heater from fleet farm because it will turn on below 40*. Cut the bottom out of the bowl so the heating element was still supported by plastic. Bent a sheet of tin so it would wrap around the base of my water'er so it won't slide off and I can also pull the...
