Thanks for the update. The breed I have is the older breed then, I received them last March. They sure are beautiful birds though. Our roo is the friendliest guy we've had and he really protects all of his ladies.
Ah! Thank you for or catching my typo. It's 20$ for 3 cream Legbar hatching eggs, most like to order in increments of three. Now I need to fix that in the site.
As far as I know the line I purchased from Green Fire Farms is from their direct line from England. I will post some better pictures...

I've been trying to hatch chocolate and jubilee Orpingtons with not much success. Out of 16 chocolate eggs and 16 jubilee eggs I had one Choco hatch. They were pretty expensive eggs, of course. I normally have a hatch rate of 95% so I'm wondering if I'm getting bad eggs or if this is just a...

I have a beautiful Silver Phoenix hen who is six months old. I am very new at this but now that I know she's such a gorgeous bird I've been thinking of breeding her with another Silver Phoenix or golden Phoenix. I'm looking for any advice in breeding (I do not have any roosters, certainly no...
jbarrett, that is a huge accomplishment, congratulations! I might need to look into doing that.
hdowden, Thank you so much for the advice. I think I might need to give it a try. By chance, how is the best way to find a good, suited, cockerel for her?
Thank you all so much!
Thank you so much for the pictures. That looks just like her...and I can now call her a HER! yay! I need to learn more about this breed. She is so very pretty and has always been the most friendly of the bunch.
Those of you with experience with Phoenix's, do you think this is a good show bird? I don't know the first thing about showing, but....
Also, do you think she's a straight Phoenix, a silver Phoenix, a bantam Pheonix...or anyhing else?
I love Backyard Chickens!
