    i went by that, thinking the bones are so prominent either because i am not feeding enough (plus free range) or they have worms - so i have been feeding them more ......and it is wrong for my chickens...they ALL hade very prominent keel bones....but one was dead on the coop floor this...

    soy free - yes ...some folks are allergic to soy protein and request soy free feed chicken eggs. corn ...if organic, np. the corn free stuff often has canola in it instead ...same gmo problem. and yes, after reading a lot on the politics and some studies that were actually done independent...

    Egyptian Fayoumis are said to be resistant to marek's ....they are great chickens, egg laying breed, great foragers and great moms, roosters very vigilant and get along well.

    i think it varies - but don't ask me how they decide....2 of my hens i was afraid they would starve because they just never left the nest, ok, almost never ...i took them off the nest to poop and eat on some days ...then others ....i was like...your eggs are getting cold mama ...what's up...

    hm, that aggressive at 6 weeks old, i am surprised - unless they are very crowded and bored - or bred for aggression. i had 32 roos last year - the first 17 i had to finally split up at 3 1/2 months because it was simply too much for the hens (only 9) ...so ...also found it early to decide at 6...

    no experience with a big head or what might be the issue there... but did have a chick in july with toe that was not spread out like it should have been and the chick was unable to walk, seemed a little weak and was not able to eat by itself and would fall over (but no big head) in short...
