But the last couple of days she seems to be just losing her feathers.
Can anyone tell me if she is ok ? Or what it may be ? please.
I have 4 chickens who all live sleep eat etc together.
It is...
Blondie i have 2 that jump, so as high as i can go to stop them entering parts of the garden i don't want them to, isnt high enough for them. I now have to get a small gate made to stop them entering the 'front' area.
Ah the things we do :P

Here are some more pics.

I thought i had reposted in here. I know i posted about Charlie, but must have somewhere else.
Charlie was rehomed with a lady who has kids and another duck. They live on 5acres and have a dam.
Her other duck also wakes her at her back door at 4.30 but she is up then anyway.
So all in all...
My first time with ducks so just assumed they were females as they were so cute when chicks
(as some of you know i lost one at about a mth old) So was left with Quacker and 4 chickens. "she" is happy as with just being "her" and the chooks.
Sitting out the back the other day i noticed...

I have just been reading and reading in here - trying hard not to get sidetracked with other messages,
but failed......... a lot

I have started a thread on my 'new' duck (link below) which will give you a starter on my new duck Charlie.
My main, and really only problem is, she wakes at 4.30am each day
and i need to stop her from doing it.
It's been 4 days and to be honest i am tired, so i can imagine my neighbours
are...
She has been a little better each day outdoors.
I am going to keep trying, as she is a beautiful Duck and i would like to keep her.
My only dilema is the 4.30am/neighbours, cos she really is very loud.
I'd be happy to ignore her and make her wait it out till a reasonable time but i think my...
yes a home with a child or two would be perfect as Charlie is very socialable.
And the previous owners said she used to take her to school at drop off time and the kids loved her.
My only concern is the noise she makes and being so close to neighbours.
I say that now and she has been pretty...
Well it's been 4days and it feels like a month
She is fine when i am in her sight, otherwise she is honking all day. I can handle the noise
i can handle having to almost hand feed her and having to place her in her pool. I can handle
being patient and allowing her to free roam so she is...
I am spending time with her outside, but it seems to make it worse :o
(when i walk away/come inside)
If she hears me inside she starts going off. (i got her Friday not Saturday as i posted)
She is venturing out more in the yard and starting to follow the other chooks/Duck.
My duck Quacker has...
If people are going to have pets - in this case, ducks - please, if your not going to have them for life
do them a favour and don't raise them like their your children, your not doing them any favours.
As some of you know i had two Muscovy ducks, sadly we lost one through illness at about...
