I can do 7 per chick this week.

I have had a great hatch this past week and have some chicks if interested.

Enjoy your new silkies. They are so much fun to watch and great for kids. Let me know if you are ever in the market for any more as we have been having great hatches lately. My flock as youngsters! One of my hens now. Even the roosters have trouble seeing! lol

I usually can tell by their attitudes better. Roos tend to be curious and hold their necks out straight as a hen will take off and hid her head in a corner.

You can google the term feather sexing and look at the images. There are two great images that show how to feather sex. I use this when attempting to sex my isbars for myself.

Hello! We have a small flock of isbars as well. Our hens started laying around 5 mths and we are in Ga also. We did keep the lights on for them and fed them laying feed to help.
