Nice Incubator! Just a suggestion, I set my top part outside in the shade to get the temp and humidity reading and go online or look on the local weather channel and see what the temp & Humidity is in the area and compare the two. That way I can make adjustments if needed. Personally I prefer a...
I have my Incubator full as usual! 80 quail eggs for a 15 day hatch, Texas A&M white coturnix, brown coturnix, Italian gold coturnix, and to top it off in the back I have 13 Barred Rock Bantam eggs for the 21 day hatch. I really have just way too many birds but it sure is fun, The pretty babies...
I have brown Coturnix Quail. Is there a difference between the Jumbo and Brown Coturnix Quail? Mine get pretty large but not as big as some of the pictures I’ve seen. Is there a difference even though they look the same? I also have the Italian Coturnix Quail. The guy I bought them from said...

Barred Rock Bantams are the best of the best in my views! I'm glad to see you selling eggs. I have a nice flock of these and they lay the best tasting eggs of all my chickens. Good luck!
I noticed Kefir still on here. I feed my chickens Milk Kefir whey everyday if I have it and they are much healthier. They come a running when I have a glass of yummy Kefir whey, I'm become their best friend! I got new grains from TheKefirMan.com and they are great.
(Where did you come by your cornish)
I got my Cornish from from an old guy selling out. They are really nice bantams as far as the Cornish bantams go. The old guy said he had them for years. They are pretty plump Cornish. Great eating. Also got some really pretty Barred Rock Bantams. They got...
Hi Nate88,
If you lived near me I'd be glad to let you have as many as you wanted. I got a yard full. I sold about 20 hens this year and was begging people to take all the roosters for free. I cleaned about 10 or 12 and put them in the freezer. Fat little boogers they are! I live in East Texas...
Hi Sid,
I'm in Quitman and there is a couple of different guys in Gilmer that sell lots of different Healthy Quail really cheap. Like $1 to $2 each depending on size. Look on Craigs List once in a while, they sell them there. And they usually have several hundred of them for sale. And the price...
Hi,
Did you ever find any silkies? I live in Quitman and I only have one white silkie and a couple of other colors that I just love. Is silkies the only ones you are looking for? I have the prettiest little Bantam Plymouth Barred Rocks that are just about as soft and sweet as can be. They are...
Hi everybody,
I have two pretty pigmy goats that I'm sure they are pregnant. Or I think they are. There names are Cutie Pie & Daisy. I'm worried about Daisy because she is carrying her baby or babies very low. Instead of growing out she is growing down. Is this a problem I should be worried...
I've had trouble raising my Barred Rock Bantam chicks also. I water them with an I dropper with sugar water and electrolytes for a few days. Now that they are grown they are doing well. I have about a dozen or more hens and lots of roosters. But My wife and I love our Barred Bantams.
I'm excited for you! I really like my Barred Rock Bantams! My first post was a long time ago, now I have 16 Hens and three Roosters.I also have a lot of baby chicks. My wife and I have so much fun with them. Each hen lays a pretty brown egg nearly every day. I sent Pictures, Thanks and have a...
~~Hi, the black is supposed to be there on the legs. The hens have more than the roosters. Sometimes the roosters don’t have any or very little. But it’s one way to tell the difference when they are little chicks. it looks like you sprayed their legs with black spray paint.
Hi FinelyFeathered, I just bought three beautiful Barred Plymouth Rock Bantams from an old farmer down in the bottoms. They are only two months but they look awesome, two little hens and a roo. It’s going to be a few months before they start laying, but keep me in mind and I could send you a few...
