I live in Rehoboth MA and have a mottled orpington chick (1 week old), some light Sussex chicks (week old) as well as silkie and LF cochin chicks. I am NPIP certified.
No I do not sorry. It is difficult to find silkie pullets any time that is why most people buy chick's or hatch their own eggs. A decent female will cost $$$ if you can find one.
I was thinking of possibly showing and will have a bunch of silkie chicks (hopefully)! Does anyone want to share vendor space of commission to sell chicks?
My biggest problem last year was not anticipating the amount of snow. I made piles too close to the coop and my door couldn't open. Chickens do not molina the cold. If you can afford a heated dog water bowl I would run it to the coop. Works great.
I am selling a few of my hens 12-24 months old to make room for new chicks. My flock has excellent type. The hens I have for sale are not traditional splash, but are splash over lavender.
Gorgeous NPIP boy! I kept him from my hatch last year, has perfect type, wings, and feet. My alpha roo does not let him leave the coop which is the only reason I am rehoming him. Will consider trading for show quality eggs.
