That's terrible... Sorry for the mass loss. I was dreading dead chicks on arrival being from maine and ordering early on... I suppose I got lucky. I see so many of these horror stories.

This is the brooder I whipped together for my 11 Plymouth Rocks and 4 Buffs... It's 6.5x2.5.... Should be enough room eh? It's under my workbench inside the coop. Just need to cut the rounds above the brooder and net it off for the heat lamp. After they outgrow it I'm planning on rabbits!

I am by no means a chicken expert, but Ive read recently you can overdose your chicks on the electrolyte water. ( not to say that is the case) It might just be so mething you can watch out for. Im getting my first chicks on the 12th so good luck to us both!
