    thanks for the response. I noticed she started behaving normal once she got outside but she still isn't eating as much as usual. Its just a small break beneath her about an inch long. I have my fingers crossed that it will heal.

    hi my pet silkie hen jumped into a hole and landed hard on a large stone breaking the bone beneath the breast. is there any way to help this heal? will the bird live? my daughter is is going crazy with the fear of her dieing. any advice would be appreciated. thank you.

    Based on my experience I think it will dry up turn black and fall off. Give him/her a basic spectrum of antibiotics and keep him/her warm/comfy.
