    This chick hatched 6 weeks ago out of an egg from my friend's leghorn hen, the roo was a FBCM. Any guess on gender? I know that leghorns can have bigger combs so it makes me not sure abput this little one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    This little one is about 7 weeks old now and I was hoping I could get input on what gender it is. The second one I have that is a week younger is an obvious roo so I was hoping I lucked out and have a pair.

    I wasn't going to use those feathers alone to sex the bird because my last female I had had those feathers as well at the same age and they eventually fell out.

    Olive Egger eggs are very dark olive green, you can see two of them in this carton of eggs

    This chick started with the classic pullet pattern but is now getting more white so I'm not sure what to think anymore. What does everyone else think? Pullet or roo?

    What breed is this chick?

    if this bird is all white it may be a cockerel and not a pullet. Gold sex link pullets should be gold/red with some white while the cockerels are all white with some dark red in the shoulder area when mature.

    I was thinking silver laced but wasnt sure if that is how they start feathering in on the wings. I have a gold laced bird but she was older when I got her and already had almost all of her feathers already.

    I would guess it is just the red leaking through since it is on the wings and not on the shoulder blades
