ok *whew* just went and checked again and Fran has laid her egg... pulled her out of the coop and did a full chicken-check... all seems fine and she is pecking and scratching out in the yard once more! Sheesh scare me to death...

and good idea about moving your feed into the coop... that's how I designed my coop, too. I mostly did it to keep predators out/away from the feed.
there's a reason for the expression "Mad as a wet hen" hahaha... my girls were not impressed by the rain! Tilly stuck one toe out of the coop and did a u-turn! They did eventually venture forth, but were not thrilled, eventually roosting on my lawn swing! Silly girls
