What am I? Bantam tank surprise

Nooooooo! If it crows, it goes. =( We are in a neighborhood that doesn’t technically allow chickens, but the HOA has been inactive for some time and has not been enforcing anything for years. Where we are, nobody will even know we have them, unless i stick a roo out there.

If you can achieve as many of the following as possible, it will ease it a bit: >Make sure they are as close to the same size as you can. With older birds, we have found this to be as important or even more so than age...

So we lost 2 young pullets to an opossum the first night out in their temporary coop. I have been setting traps since and have caught 4 juvenile opossums so far, one of which is most likely the perpetrator that squeezed under the run wall in a low spot. My questions are, how many opossums are...

Fill the bucket with sand and then add water. It will fill all the cracks between the grains of sand. That is as heavy as you can get with those two media choices. =) Post Script: I guess I was a bit late with that one. On a side note, marshmallows make great opossum bait.

Only certain breeds are game and will fight like that. Unless you specifically bought gamebirds from a cockfighter, I seriously doubt that would be a problem. Now making Chicken Tetrazini out of them? That's another thing all together.

We have a few roos from a hatching project at my daughter's school. One is a gold laced polish and one is a beautiful bantam cochin frizzle. Before we take them to live on a friend's farm, I thought we would offer them out here if anyone was in need. I am hoping to trade for some hatching eggs...

We put an egg under our Cochin and she has been setting pretty well but yesterday she got off the nest for her daily eat, drink and stretch. Well, she got back on the wrong nest and we aren't sure how long but the egg felt cool. Luckily it was one of the 75 degree days. The egg had just shy of a...
