OK no one said I couldn't join so I guess I'm in, lol. I have 20 coturnix quail eggs due to hatch on Good Friday evening. They're in my brand new Nurture Right 360.
Hmmm. Then I don't think mine is working. I've had it plugged in now for 5-6 hours and haven't seen it turn yet. It does work when you hold both buttons down but not seen it doing it on it's own at all.
After you said there were identical ones I got looking and saw you were right and while some of them also have decent reviews, some of them are pretty terrible... like 3 stars. So probably not going to do that now.
Not a ton of hatches. I got burnt out on it years ago, lol. Probably 3-6...
Has anyone used this incubator? I see it has a 5 star review, but it's only out of 15 people. I saw the post here about the Nature Right, but am leery of it because the bad reviews on Amazon are VERY bad. This incubator is 1/3 cheaper, and hatches twice as many eggs. Any first hand...
If no progress since yesterday, go ahead and help them. They may already be dead. Just go slow, one chip at a time, and if you see any blood, stop and put them back in. If you don't see blood keep chipping away until you have the top of the egg removed, then gently tear away the membrane.
@Krazyquilts Nope, he's still all yellow. But, I think I solved the mystery. I found another magpie thread on here and posted the question on it, and someone told me magpies will occasionally throw an all white duck... and that since those white ducks breed true when bred to each other, are...
Hey y'all. I made a separate post about this, but didn't get any answers to my question, so thought I would try here. I have 2 magpies... they are the only ducks I have. I recently hatched out 4 of their eggs, and three look just like magpie ducklings should look, but one is solid yellow...
Let me know if you ever figure it out. What you described is exactly what happens to me on every hatch. You didn't say how many didn't hatch, but if I get 50% I'm doing good! One of the main reasons I don't hatch much anymore. Especially when you spend $50+ on shipped eggs, it gets old...
Well, it is to me at least. I have 2 ducks... a hen and drake Magpie. For the Easter hatch, I hatched out 4 baby ducks from this pair. Those are the only ducks I have, so cross breeding is not a consideration. 3 of the four ducklings are yellow and black, with yellow and black feet, like...
