These two are notoriously difficult to photograph and are extremely flighty. I will get hubby to help me catch them this weekend and see if we can get some better pictures. These two are constantly together and scream like a banshee if you pick them up. Strange little creatures!
I posted this on the OE thread but got no response. Maybe someone here can help since this is a more active thread :)
I'm thinking the one on the right may be a roo. It's the same one as I. The individual pic. They are about three weeks old now. What do you think? Thanks!
The comb looks more red in this pic than in person. What else makes you think this is a roo? This is my first set of Cochins, so I'm just learning about them and any info is appreciated. I was so hoping for a hen!
Please be critical and tell me what's wrong with this girl as far as showing goes. She's hatchery quality and I want to know exactly what to avoid/look for when choosing show chicks :) She's a sweetie and the reason I chose to show Cochins, so she's not going anywhere. I have a buff guy that...
I've shown dogs for years, so I understand breeding for certain traits. As im looking into showing my first Cochins, I have a few questions :) I'm confused as to whether the bantams are a different breed or just a variety. Can they be interbred if they are separate breeds? What are the most...
I'll get a clearer one. I'm trying to photograph them weekly to document their development, but it's getting more difficult to get them to stand still long enough to get a pic of them together :)
That's what I thought. Those combs and wattles are too red too early not to be. So far they are both sweet. As long as they stay that way, they can stay with us :)
