    Is this a rooster?

    I was thinking they TSC said they were New Hampshire Reds, but I guess from what debid said they are a mix of reds. I'm not sure if I can have a rooster so was hoping it was just older or the others would follow, but so far none of the others are getting a hint of the red.

    Question about feeding my chicks

    I have 6 chicks that are 7 weeks old. I moved them to their outside coop a week ago. The coop has a house and a run. When it gets dark, about 8-9pm, I close the door to the house and keep them in there (for warmth and safety). Then in the morning, about 7:30am I open the door and let them go...

    Is this a rooster?

    We got 6 one week old chicks at Tractor Supply 6 weeks ago. They were said to be all girls, but one looks different. Only the one has red under the beak and on the comb. It's the one on the left of the first pic. The comb is also bigger than all the rest. It doesn't make any different noises...

    New to Chicken

    We just got our first chicks too. From TSC and ours are about 6 weeks old too. We live in Tennessee and just moved them to their outside coop this weekend. They really wanted to get out and move around so they are enjoying being out there. They seem to be happy out there. I'm locking them up...

    New to Raising Chickens in Tennessee

    We got our first chicks 6 weeks ago. 6 New Hampshire girls. We just moved them to the outdoor coop yesterday (3/30/13). I'm looking forward to learning all I can!
