I feed my chickens and ducks frozen veggies and make a mini mud pit to help them cool off. Also a frozen gallon jug of water helps, they will lay next to it.

I got 3 in aug and I'm in love! I'm already planning my order for next year. What kind of ducks do you have? I ordered the ducks and chicks for the same ship day and I live in NC and the ducks and chicks came the same morning.

I used pee pads on a batch of chicks. Works just like paper towels. They do scratch it up a little but clean up was easier than news paper or paper towels.

My chickens and ducks hang out under our deck most of the day ( it's a giant dirt pit also) the only time they come out is if I'm out there, it starts raining or it's later in the evening when it gets cooler. They are prob down there cause its a lot cooler.

You would have to pay separate shipping for the ducks. The ducks don't come from OH like the chicks do, they come from CA. I have a order for 8 for 9/30, was originally 4 but I added a few more for warmth ;) if you can have them it prob wouldn't hurt to add a few more so they can stay warmer
