I've got a pair of mallards I raised from hatchlings this spring that are very well fed and very comfortable in my backyard. They are both mature now. Will my hen lay infertile eggs before the next spring? I have a nesting box built.
I fed month old ducklings the manna pro for ducks and it made them legarthic and much quieter than usual. I have taken it away from them because this is so unusual. Anyone else have this issue with Manna Pro?
My ducklings ate bits of wasps that had been killed and sprayed with poison a few minutes ago, and I'm scared it could affect them. The wasps have dried out and have been dead a few weeks probably.
He's already walking better and is beginning to use the leg again. He is still not putting muh weight on it. I love my baby but I am a college student and sending him to the vet would be out of the question.
Im having the same issue with my 3 week old mallard. He is improving slightly,he is now beginning to use his leg whereas before he wouldnt even move it. Im still skeptical about when he will be able to walk again.

Sometimes they appear to be eating something they're not supposed to but actually spit it out when it won't tear apart or go down. I thought mine were eating their pine shavings, but they were really moving and sifting the shavings.
They are mallard ducklings! I have two as well, Dallas and Jesse. I introduces them to water first day, but DO NOT LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED! Ducklings can and will drown if left in deep water they cannot easily get in an out of. I've had one pass that way. I feed mine cracked corn and occasional...
