Just wanted to add that that looks like a normal comb to me. Even if it's a mild pox, it'll probably just run its course and go away shortly. Nothing to worry about here.

Hm. When my rooster had frostbite, it was pretty much just two stages: 1) Turn black. 2) Fall off. He started out with one of those tall pointy combs and ended his life with a smooth one.

Leather gloves! Some hens just hate you coming near when they're sitting, esp if they're broody. If this is a new behavior, I'd guess she's broody.

Were they purple grapes? Sometimes my chicks' poop turns greenish blue when they eat purple grapes and berries, too.

My chickens have passed things like that frequently. I think of it as an egg "gone wrong" somehow and put it in the category of shellless eggs and so on. It's not usually fatal but I can see that it might be an indicator of reproductive trouble. I'm sorry for your loss!

I see dark green poop whenever a chicken isn't eating very much -- it's like the green stuff is the bare "essentials" of the poop without all the bulk. I wouldn't count it as a separate thing to worry about. Best of luck with your chicken!
