Yes I did count it from 24 hours after. I don't only see veining there is a large mass too, but on some parts of the eggs I see large red veins.

So today is day 19 for my button quails, the temperature only dropped once for 2 hours to 97. I see some veining in some of the remaining eggs, are they alive if they still have the veins, and do they have much chance of hatching. Advice is most welcome, as I'm starting to get worried none will...

Oh also the black dot in the centre is where I marked the egg.

So I candled this egg today, after loosing all my other eggs because my incubator messed up. I saw veins 2 days ago, and when I candled today I saw a red blob about a centimetre in diameter. Is the egg alive or dead? Sorry for the rubbish quality photo it's the best I could take.

Thanks everyone! I've got some more eggs on the way as my aunts sending me some. So I've freed up some room in my incubator, as finally after a lot of tries I found the fertile ones through candling, and threw the duds out :)

Yeah I tried candling before I tried a float test. Unfortunately the eggs are way too dark, can't see a thing through it :(
