Yes I did get rid of my girls. Put 'em on KSL and a very nice couple came over and stayed about an hour. They were really nice....I wasn't going to let them go to just anyone.....and they bought all the other stuff that I had too....so I knew they were (the girls) were going to be ok. The new...
My oldest son (26) served in the 3rd Infantry.....was one of the first ones in Iraq....now out and learning to live with PTSD and TBI.....he's doing good.
My youngest (18) did boot camp last summer between jr and sr year. This summer he's at Fort Leonardwood, MO for AIT training. He's in...
Well, I did get my 4 chicks at Sunnybrooke...they were 2 days old. I have never had any problems with them. They are now over 7 mos and have been laying 4 eggs a day since 17 weeks. I have learned everything here from BYC and that is why mine have done so well. I know of a couple of others...

Due to health reasons, I need to get rid of my 4 girls. 2 are red sex links and 2 are barred rocks. They are nearly 7 mos old and give me 4 eggs regularly. If interested, pm me for more details.

Once again, scratch is not just a winter thing. Mine get it every day, even during the hottest summer months. Corn does not heat chickens up. ddawn hopefully will post the discussion that was done on this subject.....I can't find it at the moment.
Once again, corn does not cause a chicken to heat up. There are a number of good posts addressing this topic.....find some of them and read. I've given scratch to my chickens all summer...even when the temps were in the upper 90's...and they've done fine. I toss it. They even expect it first...
I'm with Lazy J Farms. There is an excellent post somewhere on this forum about the myth of not feeding cracked corn in the summer. I'll try to find it. I give my girls a bowlful of scratch every morning and it's got cracked corn. They think it's their morning cereal and get upset if they...
