    update:still no sign of mom but unfortunately one chick carcass found in coop. Funny how those flies give them away, huh? Still one bantam mom and 2 chicks at large.

    Update on raccoon aftermath: at the time of this posting still no sign of the mother and chicks, however the adult red sex link was found coming out of hiding. I believe it was her horrendous carrying on that caused me to run last night. Anyway, if any of the missing show up I'll tell you.

    ok mmaddie's mom, I'll give you an update in the morning. I usually let them run free in this hot weather with normally no problems during the day. Figures he got in when it was dark for just 1 hour.

    Rooster's lost crow

    My buff orpington rooster had a nice crow in the morning. Now only a feeble gurgle comes out and when he's roosting at bedtime he makes a long drawn-out low whiney growl. Anybody have any ideas?

    Bee problems

    Are they yellow jackets? If so, just kill them. They make sprays that will drop them immediately. If you have honey bees, I don't know.
