    It may be.. But you would figure if they were pecking it and made one hole, then they would eat the whole thing. It also may be older hens pecking the newbies eggs to prevent it from hatching.

    Yes the eggshell is the same thickness. It looks more like a hen stepped on it then a peck mark.. But the inner skin layer was not broke because you could hold the egg where the hole was on bottom and nothing would leak out. Yes I feed them Purina Layer Pellets and cracked oyster shells...

    No I haven't experienced that..I've just always tried to let them have 14-16 hours of light!

    Me and my Aunt made my chickens some sweaters. They are so funny to watch when they where them. All the other chickens that don't have them on yet are pecking at the ones that do have them on. The New Hampshire Red with the sweater on is Betty Sue!

    Yes, I have 8 hens and have a Infared light on them throughout the Winter. During the summer I usually get 6-8 eggs and I still get 6-8 eggs now.
