    Organic Non GMO Wholesome Feed?

Really well thanks for the information. It was a certified organic farmer that told me that GMO seed can be grown organically and sold as organic produce. Perhaps he was confused. The whole subject makes me very untrusting of the food and feed industry.

My Grandfather located up here years ago, my parents followed. Then my son and daughter in law (she teaches in Littleton) So once we decided to down size, it only made sense to relocate up here near family. My parents had a small collection of hens when I was in high school, being a senior the...

The old coop on the property has a fox den in it... :( so I am working on a new coop. It is set on 4 inches of rock it will have hardware cloth around the base and buried a bit. I also plan on a foot or two of fencing underground around the coop. The lady with chickens down the road warns that...

    New Hampshire!

Hi I am in Dalton and also shop in Littleton. I used the crumbles with warm water for the first few weeks, they did very well with it. I also went with the paper towels to start. I now use shavings as they are older but using the paper towels and crumbles (I changed them twice a day) worked...

    can they?

I adore them, they are so funny. The larger of the goslings is very protective of the ducks and cuddles them at night. I am very happy to have a pair of each.

    New Hampshire!

I wanted pretty much the same thing you did, good layers and winter hardy. I went with the 'New Hampshire' after all the research I did. Not fancy but I think they will be a good choice. Let me know what you get and perhaps we can share notes about how they go through next winter.

    can they?

LOL I don't really know yet. The ducks and geese were part of a 'start up' type pack from the breeder. So they were breeders pick. I am anxious for them to get in feathers so I can find out what kind they are. I have a pair of each and they are wonderful friends already. The dominate gosling...

    can they?

My ducklings and goslings are still fuzzy but getting big. I started them with an inch or so in the tub once a day. (yes and disinfected after) They loved it. Gradually I went up an inch or so and fed them shredded spinach in the water, also a big hit. Yesterday for the first time I put them in...
