Lethargic thin and diarrhea, 10wk chicks and 6 month pullets

I have considered that but have no idea where to get it I tried a couple feed stores. I had a fecal sample checked but had no coccidia. I work for a vet but they don't do anything with chickens. The only antibiotic we have to treat coccidia is Albon which someone told me could be a little harsh...

Lethargic thin and diarrhea, 10wk chicks and 6 month pullets

Someone told me to give them buttermilk. They already have diarrhea and I'm sure that wouldn't help. I'm not sure what that is supposed to accomplish.

Lethargic thin and diarrhea, 10wk chicks and 6 month pullets

Ok thanks. I don't think they are crop bound or anything when I got up this morning their crops were a lot smaller. The poor things are just so weak. They are still willin to eat and drink. Should I try putting electrolytes or probiotics or something in their water?

Lethargic thin and diarrhea, 10wk chicks and 6 month pullets

They do get grit and the food is a grower food for chicks 6 weeks to maturity. I did switch them back to medicated chick crumbles but I'm afraid they are going to get weaker. Is there anything I can do for them?

Lethargic thin and diarrhea, 10wk chicks and 6 month pullets

But could the pellets make them crop bound or anything. Thy do have very liquid poop also and their crops are very full but not hard. They are still willing to eat some.

    Wag eggs now or later?

I have asked a bunch of people that have chickens and most of them do not was eggs at all. Some of them don't...

I thought I had a pedifile rooster too.... Haha he started mating with some of mine around the same time and at 15 weeks some of them started laying eggs. I am new to this but everyone told me it would be around 20 weeks before they started laying. I guess the rooster knew best!!

Not sure if this chicken was egg bound but....

A friend of mine got some adult hens from some one a few months ago. They all seemed healthy but one of them (leghorn) always seemed to have a swollen abdomen or it just looked like it drooped compared to the other chickens. She was always active, but they weren't sure if she was laying...

When does a hen start laying on her eggs?

I am new to chickens but my friend wanted to breed his hen to my rooster. We have them in their own area separate from the other chickens. They have been together and we have taken her eggs for about 3-4 weeks to be sure she is bred by him. 3 days ago we started leaving the eggs in the nest box...

    Crumbles or pellets?

Well I still have the adult bird separate from the young ones. I didn't want to put her in with them yet because they were still kind of small. I just moved her pen next to their outdoor run a couple weeks ago so maybe they could get used to each other. She was the only chicken at her previous...
