I think the possibility of a rooster is a chance you have to take unless you get the sexed variety (the kind you can tell by the color of the eggshell). I hope the dog doesn't get too curious about the chickens! I have been told to watch out for birds of prey. Hawks can be a danger if the chickens are roaming the yard. Our run is enclosed and they are never left out without supervision.- coupedup

Life's tough in my coop. No A/C, just fans. These fans can blow or exhaust air with the flip of a switch. Hopefully this will make the coop more comfortable when the temps heat up here in Las Vegas.
