The Heritage ones look huge in the pictures but the others do not look nearly as big. The Partridge rocks I am looking for aren't even available until March from Meyer and April from McMurray since I'm not looking for 25 birds.
I noticed Meyer and McMurray both have them but limited availability and they seem a little light on their average size from what I know of the Plymouth Rocks.
Is there any visual differences on the chicks male/female or do you just have to vent sex? Just Hatched out 6 from eggs i got from someone on here. I have the pic's on Facebook so will try to link them here.
I have been unable to find any hatching eggs for Partridge Plymouth Rock eggs. There are a few hatcheries that sell the day old chicks but, call me old fashion, I prefer to hatch my own chicks lol.
I have an uncle in OK with a sign" You'd better be able to cross this meadow in under 13 seconds...Because the bull can do it in under 14. " and there were a few punctures in the sign.
The best part is he hasn't had a bull in over 10 years.
You might still want to use a brooder light for night time heat if they are not in the best of shape and i've been told ducks go crazy for peas(fresh or thawed)
ok for starters i have very weird cat, if the chickens or chicks make weird noises he comes and gets me... Well in this case one of my 2 remaining duck eggs just piped 4 days early and i got pounced on until i got up. All i can say is WOW, someone could have mentioned ducks have an odor all...
