    I’ve never bought specific grit I‘ve either had free range chicks (and a gravel drive way) or I throw scoops of sand from the kids sand box into the runs and I’ve never had a problem.

    So 3 are crowing now! The white one started today and the 2 darker orange ones have been. So another question when is the earliest I can harvest the roosters?     I don’t know if these are any better the only way I could get a picture of them not trying to peck the camera was to fill their feed tray. The one in the first picture is the only one I’ve heard trying to crow.

    Hi there! Originally I thought 4 were roosters, now I think maybe 3 but I’ve only heard one crowing. I’ve read you can tell from the feathers but not really sure. We hatched these from our buff Orpington hen and ameracauna rooster.
