    We are thinking the black is an australorp......the others we are up in the air on. My kids want to show them at our local festival and the application wants a breed....... We are going crazy here...ANY HELP would be awesome

    they probobly wont be the same mites the red or brown mites are the only brown or red mites ive heard of so far which are body mites.

    oh yes you deffinetly got it and its because of poopy water and a natural bug so dont freak out some may pass feed them clean water with a surenge.thats what i did constantly be changing news paper or whatever thats unhealthy. often hold them and feed them 3 times a day.and maybe give a snack...

    Exactly how do you dust a chicken for lice?

    you would hold the chicken upside down so the feathers spread outand so the dust gets to the skin.I hope this works out for you:/

    Yes!Im very sorry to say.:rolleyes:But there is 1 out of a few ways that I do it.Ive read part of this book about chickens you have to carefully brush their feet with veggie oil I think.somekind but alot of people probly have more suggestions.

    I know its not mites mites are brown or red so its not it.Theres a possible chance it could be lice :/sevin dust goes on every thing the ground where they sleep on there dust batheing area and on them but you do have to pick the chicken up by its feet and dust there vent area. but i guess it...

    chicks too hot..already lost one

    Its 96 here. lost 1 of nine, second one on its way out. They are in an open cage with a fan on, plenty of water.....Have the sick one inside in the AC....what can i do? help!!!

    We have the same problem. I just went and bought a bale of hay and covered the floor with it, and they nestle down in that...Mine seem happy, thought they puff all their feathers out till about 9 am....

    yeah i mark um.....just to keep the gals straight. but we just gave hen B some fake ones and i take one or so aday out till theres nothing left and she gives up and moves on
