    I am trying to get a flock that after the first barred hen - wild-type roo ---- will then breed true to auto sexing after as in - I will use very unrelated parent stock to get a lot of first generations - then can I breed this big pool of birds and still get auto sexing the upcoming generations...

    Muttsfan - the later the shipping to me - the better anyway - her in Vermont the ground is still solid ICE in most places - so even a week of decent weather will hardly make any difference - I have a batch just started in my only incubator so can't put them in now anyway ... help the lower parts...

    I breed Silver Appenzeller Spitzhauben and Arkansas Blues (like Whiting Blue - but the main stock from that line). I sometimes have Marans - with dark eggs but mixed as to feathering so they can't be show quality - but I breed for dark egg color. I rarely get on backyard chickens - so email...
