Hello BYC I was sure that the following was a rooster but now I am not sure. Came home today to find it laying on some eggus and has not crowed the first time. I thought that the for sure hen had laid the eggs, but now I am confused.

I have a hen that just started laying two days ago. Now that she is laying she seems to be very lethargic. She will get up occasionally to eat and drink but then goes back to roost and sleep. Is this normal for hens when they first start laying?
