yep that is a very good idea i have separated them from the chickens i believe it was egg bound as they just began laying and that specific hen was not excreating aswell when i sepatated it for an hour

got a jap hen which is panting a lot with mouth open and sometimes eyes closed if i approch she scatters but she seems lazy and does not move about a lot
iv just aquired somd jap quail 6 hens 2 cocks there fairly small birds and i want to breed large birds for meat consumption any one know if i could cross a texas am with these to produce fairly large birds , easy to sex and not sterile . also thinking of crossing jumbo jap with these smaller ones

i got 3 hens 1 shamo 1 sham x asil and 1asil
the asil and asil cross are allways togeather and have no problem being with eachother ( appart from one pecking the other in the coop ) where as both can not tolerate the shamo hen , they keep fighting with her soo much that i had to separate them...
yeh thats what i believe i shoulnt cull it if it will eat and drink on its own , this chick cant walk at all on one leg and i did the stretch leg method and i heared a click but it still is limping on leg and walks with its knees . i could literally see bare bone i think ill plaster it
iv cheked it out and it says to push the bone back into place , by streightening the leg i did do the and the leg is still bent , would it be better to put splint ? to sterighten the leg as the chick is always flopping down on its face as it can only walk with its knee
