Ive recently started feeding my flock red hen chicken food, on the back of the back it says its for helping with egg laying and to lay healthy chick, give bigh fertility rates ect. But i have a rooster in my flock. Is it a good idea to be feeding my rooster food for egg laying, im not to sure...
Turns out that the incubator had brokeon around day 4 , i decided to do an eggtopsy on day five ( opened up the egg) and the most developed chick was about the size of a 10 c coin... I went and bought a new, bigger, better, fully autamatic incubator and ill be trying again soon. xx
I treid hatching eggs , i had 5 eggs set in the incubator but on day 21 i had to fill up the water , some accedently slopped over the side into the fan and the incubator broke down and stopped working, today is day 22 and still no eggs have hatched . I dont know what i. Doing wrong!
Sand sound like areally good idea. Ive heard it on a few other of the forums while searching what to use but im still not to sure about using it for my brooder. Ive recently incubated 5 eggs and there due to hatch this week, ive got wood shavings and they worked fine with my other lot of chicks...
