Help! What kinds of chickens are these two?

Hi Mister B, It is a safety fence playpen for my young pullets who are now 3 months old. My hubby built it as a temp fix until he can build something else. We've been using it for about 3 weeks now. They are only in it while I am home and during the day. We used a roll of safety fence, 9 6ft...

Help! What kinds of chickens are these two?

Thank you Flock Master! You are awesome! We did find out they came from the Amish farms in Yoder. I have it on high authority that you are so correct about the two! Gabi is an Easter Egger and Star is a Brown Breasted Red Phoenix Hen. Thanks so much!

Great article and so informative! Thanks so much. We have a 250w red heat lamp in the top of our coop. Our First Egg

On Sunday Nov 17, went out to clean the coop and what a surprise! Penny laid her first egg! The egg on the left is a ceramic egg I stuck in there so she would where to go. Hers is the pretty brown speckled egg on the right.

Nice coop. Curious why you used cedar as everything I have learned is that cedar is bad for chickens. Do you have any pics of the inside?

Our coop so far. We originally were going to build the Wichita Cabin Coop, but Chaz had different ideas and of course, I'm not allowed to help. He is a machinist & a perfectionist-I've been told to just let him alone & he will get it done. Good luck to all the other first time coop builders!
