  6. Here they all are... about 4 days old. In the back is Manny, the chick hatched out from our Ameraucana hen and Silkie rooster. Next to him is Evangeline (later re-named to Evan... after he started crowing!) who is a Black Cochin Bantum. Across the front - the left chick is Chipmunk, and we THINK she is a Golden Duckwing Old English Game Bantum - the little yellow one is Yeller, who is now also crowing, and is turning out to be a Black Tailed White Japanese Bantum - up front is Bob, and she looks like a Black Old English Game Bantum... except her neck feathers are black and white now... so... we're not sure. They are just the sweetest things!

    Here they all are... about 4 days old. In the back is Manny, the chick hatched out from our Ameraucana hen and Silkie rooster. She has the feathered feet, crown, extra toe, comb and blue ears of a silkie, but her feathers are smooth. Her beak is getting pretty crooked at this point... but she is eating and drinking just fine

  9. Named simply "Black Rooster" - he was sold to me as an Ameraucana HEN... well... it didn't take long to realize he was definitely NOT a hen! haha! Seriously the most gorgeous rooster I've ever seen! This picture doesn't do him justice. He was sweet to the hens too. :)
