Along with the polyvisol, I would give vit e. Just split the capsule and give straight into mouth allowing her to swallow on her own. Vitamin E is great for neurological symptoms. It may take a couple of days of dosing, but it should help.
Good Luck!
Ok so I looked them up. The Granulex 5 is castor oil spray. Does that sound right? If so I would think it is ok. Just use a q-tip so you don' get in her eyes of course.
I have no idea about those. I am so sorry. I know you could use vasoline, but I would think that would slow down the healing process.
I am sure someone will come along with some good suggestions. In the meantime I will try to look up those products for you.
flush it with a sterile saline solution. you can use a syringe or eye dropper or q-tip. then dab on neosporin with q-tip. apply some blu-kote so the flies won't lay eggs in it and it should keep the others from pecking at it.
good luck
I am glad to hear she is doing better! I thought cocci from the beginning, but also wanted to rule out the suggestion of the crop. I'm glad you got it all figured out. I know I hate it when my girls don't feel good. I'm not sure how fast it works. I do know not to skip any days and treat for as...
If she is refusing food and water and more importantly , medicine. You might have to syringe into her mouth. Just dribble it onto her her beak and down the side, careful not to get it in her nose, and allow her to swallow on her own. Same way with vitamins.
Did you fast her to check her crop...

Oh my. Sorry it didn't work for you. I have never had a pecking problem. Just used it for wounds and works just fine for me. Maybe you should up the protein.
I am a stay at home mom of 4.
My DH is a tower tech. He does all the wiring and changing of the light bulbs on wireless towers. One of the most dangerous jobs in the world. Gotta love him for that...LOL.
Putting her in at night is a great idea. Just watch the following morning to see if they accepted her. If not then you might have to take a more drastic measure like the cage inside the cage technique.
I have no experience with pine tar oil. I am sure a paint brush or popsicle stick or a...

Good on the worming. Did you do a follow up worming or just the one time?
I am on the fence with treating for cocci. I wish I could be of more help on this, but I just don't know.
I would suggest to seperate her just so you can get a good look at ALL her droppings and symptoms. Maybe...
The only poo pic I question is your last one. I would just keep an eye on it for a bit.
To check if her crop is working right, you could bring her in and fast her for the night to make sure it goes down the way it's suppose to.
Is she low in the pecking order? You could pull her aside with her...
Here is a link to chicken poo pics and it tells you what is normal or not. Maybe a good idea to take a look to see if any of these look familiar.

If you decide it is in fact cocci, I would recomend Ampro or Corid. Sulmet is good but...
I am basing it on droppings and your description of how she is acting. As for the medicated food, I don't know. I just know that's what I would do. The only real way of getting an accurate diagnoses is taking her to a vet.
Good Luck!
