Chalky Egg Shell?? What is it??

Yeah it is pretty light. Her eggs have been getting lighter, but this one is particularly pale. I recently changed their food and I don't think it was a good choice...back to the old stand by. She is a blue copper Maran so her eggs aren't as dark as the black copper ones.

Chalky Egg Shell?? What is it??

Hmmm. She was acting funny yesterday. She did not lay but sat multiple times. They have plenty of nests, but all choose to wait in the traffic jam for the "good" box. Maybe she got stressed from waiting and laid in the house and her egg didn't get pushed out. I am leaning towards the...

Flo or Floyd? Hen or Roo? White Crested Black Polish

Well it seems Floyd is unanimous. I hope everyone is wrong, but that is just wishful thinking. We are going to wait until we hear a crow before re-homing. This makes me sad! Thanks y'all!

Flo or Floyd? Hen or Roo? White Crested Black Polish

Hello Everyone! This is my first thread as I am new to BYC and to raising chickens. I have always wanted to have a flock and decided to go for it, against my Husband's better judgement. To soothe the process I ordered a WCB Polish for him because Polish chickens just make him laugh. For a...
