    Rooster mates with her, I have separated her and her pubic bones are still rather close together. She is a cull for sure, I will probably hang in there with her another month or so...then I have no idea what to do. Just frustrates me to no end that I've been paying to feed her sorry keister this...

    DIY HUMANE way to Kill Slaughter Chicken (Stun-kill, Gas)

    I have never been able to do it any other way than put my boot on top of their head/neck and jerk their feet up really hard till the head detaches. That way I don't see their eyes, my hands never make contact with the head, just the feet, and it's over very quickly.

    Aha! I discovered the mystery bird! It IS the blue Andalusian. The stinker has red ears, not white, which means she's mixed with maran! I'm so happy! Lol I paid a lot of money for Penedesenca hatching eggs so I could have dark brown eggs, but none of them hatched save one and she didn't live...

    Hmm I have one out there that looks exactly like that one...the long pointy light brown...been getting them a couple days now. I'm starting to wonder if this dark brown egg isn't from my Andalusian? She came from a breeder who also had Marans. Maybe she is mixed. But she looks purebred for sure...
