Yes I have her parents at home. They are used to cold weather and are hardy - and this winter has been difficult for them. The coldest winter in over 30 years in Manitoba. I have had to rehome my chickens and temporarily foster out my ducks as their shed is just not warm enough even with heat...
I give her alfalfa on occasion and she turned her nose up at lettuce. I don't think she had access to any green to cause the dark green poop. Unfortunately - she is a very special case and has no company as the horse barn owner is doing me a big favor letting me keep her there til its warm...
So today Frosty is not looking as good. She wouldn't get up when I went in the stall but the problem didn't seem to be walking but rather lethargy. Once I got her up - she walked fine. She just had no oomph or personality. :( Also noticed her fecal material had like very dark green staining -...
Impossible to get her out into the sunshine right now. We are experiencing windchills of -50 C here in Manitoba. :( I will look into the vitamins as it was suggested to me last night by a fellow duck owner. She buys Vitamin D drops from a health food store. A friend checked on Frosty tonight...
Wondering if anyone has any ideas or advice. I raised this goose in my house for the first 6 - 7 weeks of her life due to being hatched in freezing temps. She has been in a horse stall for the last 5 - 6 weeks. A corner was covered in a chopped straw and the rest unfortunately was concrete...
My goose is still sitting on eggs in a rather cold shed with a heat lamp. I am in Manitoba. They actually hatched one two weeks ago who is now living in the house.
Just an update on my Frosty gosling... He is doing very well and growing like crazy and yes - still living in my tub.. Really want to find him a temporary foster home til April my shed is too cold for a young goose like Frosty.

Thanks LivinginBrazil.. That is exactly what I was looking for... :) Its very nice to hear how other people raised geese in the house and what they did to make things comfortable for the baby. He is pretty busy this morning standing in his food dish throwing it in the water. LOL
I am definitely not disregarding.. I am sorry you took it that way.. I am a veterinary technician with years of experience and have raised goslings before - just not in December in my tub. :)
Going to find a mirror and I checked the heat when I got home. Had he been despondent, inactive, etc I...
He was pretty active when I got home tonight.. Cheeping away at me. He had put some goose starter into his water bowl and was moving a lot quicker. I don't think he is cold. It is very warm in there and he is always dry except for the first couple of days.
I will try and find a mirror for him. :) He has climbed in and out of the cereal bowl so I thought it was ok.. In fact the first couple of days he would climb in and splash around. He doesn't seem interested in doing that the last few days.
